we are so much more than we think

This morning I ran across this photo.  A Labrador is baby sitting 4 other dogs whilst the owner shops. Our first reaction is, “Isn’t this amazing!” Yet, considered for awhile, maybe it’s not so much amazing as revealing something to us. These “beasts” are so much more than we think think they are; capable of so much more than we think; obviously they are so much more. Consciousness. Awareness. Connected to All That Is, Source Energy Itself in an intriguing variety of furry and feathered forms that we love. It’s no coincidence that dog is God spelled backward, then, is it?

So if our pets are way more than think they are, how much are we underestimating who we are? A lot. When a child does something “miraculous” we think this is amazing; when an adult acts heroically or a miracle happens, we think, “How Amazing!” Yet, these, too, are instances where we are being pointed to look deeper. There IS way more to each individual and miracles should be an ordinary commonplace experience in our world.
