winter solstice & total moon eclipse: no coincidence
ByHello Everyone!
Around 1:00 am last night I woke up bright eyed and bushy-tailed. What the heck? I looked outside and saw the soft light of the moon on the snow covered ground. Then, I remembered it was the Winter Solstice and also a total lunar eclipse. I might just be able to see it if the cloud cover lifted over Cleveland. Still in nightgown and barefoot, I went out onto my balcony to check out the night sky. The stars were visible! Yes!! My cat yawned wondering what was going on as I hurriedly donned leggings, sweats and wool socks, noticing that the temperature was about 20 degrees.
I padded downstairs, made coffee and an egg, then piled on winter coat, gloves and boots. I stepped outside into the crisp night and there she was, the Moon in all her full glory boasting gorgeous. By 2 am the eclipse had begun and was complete by 2:41. I called a friend – several actually – as I wanted to share this with someone. As no one answered, I realized this expereince was for me to have with Me.
I lit a candle, fired up the white sage and put on Shamanic Dream by Anugama, music I found whilst studying Huna in Hawaii. Using my breath to clear my human mind and allow connection with my Self, I began with appreciation for this moment, this life, this planet, this Universe and my unique place within it. I smudged myself, then my home, then walked through my neighborhood blessing it, the city, the state, the country, the world, all that is. Then I quieted my thoughts and allowed a blank screen and simply felt my Connection with Love.
I came away with the sense of new. That as the darkness covered the moon it was like looking back over the past where we have been unaware, asleep to Who We Really Are. As the glow of the moon returned by increments, it reminded me of raising a shade on a window to a new Spring day. The veil is lifting. We are coming awake; we are realizing our Oneness; we are ascending into the Christed Consciousness in 2011.
When I at last went back to bed at 4 am, I felt peaceful and calm. All is Well. We’re right on track. We are loved and supported beyond measure…Naturally.

Kathy,
So lovely that you took the opportunity to witness such a beautiful event. I also have the Shamanic Dream music. Thanks for the video. We got into Mexico after midnight but were too exhausted to watch it.
peace,
Rita
