love and basketball: Da’Sean & Huggins

Hello Everyone,

Applied Spirituality is all about catching those moments in life – here on Earth where Love is allowed to flow making all the difference in that singular moment.

In a tense college basketball game between Duke and WVU, All-Big East first-teamer Da’Sean Butler fell to the floor with a serious injury to his knee. In obvious pain, his coach, Bob Huggins, came to his side. Huggins, of course, is not a doctor or medic, but gave his help as only another human can ever give to another: he opened his heart and flowed it to his friend, son, player, fellow human by offering Well Being, Love, Comfort.

No, we’ll probably never know what words Huggins was issuing forth to Da’Sean, but we can feel what he imparted to him: It’s OK. I’m here. I will never leave you. Be Still and Know it is all going to be ok. Just watch. Your Good is at play.

There is no place, no circumstance no situation on Earth where Love – if allowed to flow from one to another – cannot make it Well. Let’s see if we could possibly try this in politics…

Thanks for reading!
