Practical Spirituality: VW Innovation – The 258 mpg Car
Posted by: | CommentsGood Day Everyone!
Volkswagen has announced at its 42nd annual stockholders meeting the most innovative car yet: the one liter, 258 mpg as reported in Seriouswheels.com.I’ve included some conversions here, because most of us aren’t adept at changing metrics into our American understanding. This is courtesy of a marvelous site devoted to helping us convert almost anything into anything. That site is Onlineconversion.com
1 kilometer = 0.621 371 192 24 mile
100 kilometer = 62.137 119 224 mile
1 liter = 0.264 172 052 36 gallon [US, liquid]
1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.785 411 784 liter
6.5 liter = 1.717 118 340 3 gallon [US, liquid]
To my mind this achievement is right up there with President Kennedy telling us we would put a man on the moon in 10 years when we had no idea of the “how”.
Innovation and inspiration are the result of our asking a question. We ask for something that the world has never seen before. It hasn’t come into manifestation, yet. These questions are born of our natural desires for more and better. Then, someone turns their attention towards what is desired and allows the inspiration to flood into them. They actually receive the answers and follow the clues. They are willing, they are receptive, and in human terms they are not doubting, but rather seeking along the mental path of “how can I do this”? It’s all possibility thinking; it is not framed with “that won’t work” or “it’s not done this way” or “it’s hopeless”. They are expecting the answers, the solution and the success.
We each one of us is Source Energy, hard-wired into the mainframe of Infinite Intelligence. When we can get our human-mind, limited thinking out of the way, there is nothing that we cannot be or do or have. That used to be something we called Good Old American Ingenuity.
Volkswagen has thrilled me with a real life example of what we can do when we put our full focus on something with the willingness to receive the answers.
Now, what is it that you desire? Indeed, yes you can. Yes, we can.

New Year 2009: A Return To New Beginnings
Posted by: | Comments2009-01-01
Hello Everyone and Happy New Year to You!
I notice my last post was December 16. This is because the weeks have been wholly absorbed in relocating to Ohio, place of my birth just 30 miles away.
For 35 years I have been away. Now I return. The Chinese I Ching even has a hexagram for this earthly movement. It is called Return.
I left San Diego the day after Christmas and got as far as Phoenix. My leaving was full and complete. My friends and neighbors held a wonderful farewell party for me. I was amazed and humbled by the turn out and the profound realization of how much I am loved and supported in my earthly journey.
I had such great, good fortune in finding the perfect tenant for my home, Ranchito Luna Azul (the Little Blue Moon Ranch) in Descanso. Every detail fell into place perfectly until finally there was nothing more for me to do but leave. I walked my little ranch and thanked it for supporting me in these past 8 years. This land loved me and taught me so much; and my friends, family and especially my challengers and challenges all served to help me become more of Who I Really Am.
I cannot say adequately with words how full my heart is with gratitude, appreciation, and love for every step, every person, every moment all of which have brought me to Return.
I grew up here in Ohio and Pennsylvania. I ran wild in these woods and observed the seasons of the year as they passed outside my school bus window. Within I always understood the seasons, the passage of time, and most importantly, my place within it all. Everything has its time; everything has its season. Check out Ecclesiastes 3.
As I drove across our country, I was filled with awe and expectancy savoring the landscape as it passed by mile after mile. We have so much here in America. From Arizona to Oklahoma City are vast hundreds of thousands of miles of beautiful open lands. I only saw but a very few windmills at work. Somewhere in Missouri I saw maple trees with buckets strapped to them, ready to receive the running sap in the spring for maple syrup. And throughout large stretches, there is the heartland, the farmlands where we have good earth and a place to grow our food.
fe·cund adj.
cundus: 1. abundant2. fertile, fruitful 3. imaginative 4. productive (of offspring)].
Currently in the worldscape we are witnessing a time for tearing down. This must happen before the new can come into place. There is a time for a vacancy, a void, where the germination of new thoughts, ideas and inspirations can become existent. There is a time for rest, gathering our strength and nourishing our ideas for the new movements forward. And there is a time for Return; where we finally Return to Who We Really Are and our creations are fecund with Life and Light, once again. We are, America, Returning to our Oneness as a nation, but first individually each and every one of us.
This 2009 – a most blessed and fertile time of infinite possibilities to apply your spirit and create anything Good anew.

Doom, Doom, Doom: Had Enough Yet?
Posted by: | Comments2009-04-26
Good morning everyone!
The above links are just two items that were in my face this morning as I went to check my e-mail on Yahoo. I didn’t go digging for these. There they were headlines. The first talks about how the human race perhaps nearly went extinct 70,000 years ago. The second urges us to stockpile food. Ye gads, shoot me now!
Personally, folks, I’ve had enough of the fear, the doom and the negative. We have become a downward spiraling thought form. And this, dear reader, will lead us down the drain.
We have created what we are experiencing. We create every single bit of it. Like it or not, believe it or not, it is so.
Common sense teaches us that if something hurts, we stop doing it. Does it not?
I mean, if you are sitting on an anthill and they bite your butt, do you not jump up and get off the anthill?
If you touch something hot, don’t you pull your hand away immediately? If you are experiencing a painful thought, don’t you eventually seek to turn your thoughts to something better and give yourself relief?
So when are we going to be sick to death of the fear mongering in the news and stop listening, stop contributing to the perpetuation of the negative and turn ourselves towards solutions and joy and feeling like the Creators that we are.
I am certain that history will write of this time as the Second Dark Ages. We have been led like a flock of sheep into the negative thinking abyss. And it is a spiral downward with no place to go.
Perhaps this will eventually be felt by the mass of us as “ENOUGH!” and then we will take our hands off the hot burner and look for the salve.
Every moment we spend fearing; every thought spent worrying; every single second spent in lack builds the experience of the same thing. What is more, that is the same amount of time that is NOT spent in joy, not spent in creating something new, and NOT finding a solution, creating something better than what currently is.
Why do we think that there is nothing more coming except bad? What happened to the joy?
What happened to optimism? What happened to Faith? There’s is infinite good awaiting, coming, and to be experienced!
There is always more good. In fact, there is an infinite supply of good. But there is also an infinite supply of the bad if that is what we are choosing to call forth.
This is about each of us, individually and therefore collectively, creating everything we truly want or else creating everything we fear to experience. If we are dwelling on what we dread to experience daily, billions of us, then we will definitely have the experience, as we are building it as a thought form and then the actual physical manifestation.
We shift this one person at a time. You. Me. Each one of us refuses to dwell in the darkness. In that moment when you spot the headline, you refuse to buy in. You turn the TV off, and turn your thought and actions to the opposite. We begin thinking of the way we want to experience Life. We envision the green, lush planet. Nourishing rains, fertile fields, and bountiful crops of lovely organic foods. And from this place of vision, we act.
We appreciate this day what is so perfectly in harmony: the sun has come up, the spring has arrived, the birds and bees are active and happy. We see what is so good already and start pulling more and more on that thread. Look around you, see past the appearances of doom, and dare yourself to appreciate what is so fine, so good, so wonderful. Now build your thoughts from THAT platform and take your actions in that direction.
This is not just a daily practice, but a moment to moment practice. Putting the puppy back on the paper, I call it. “I will keep thee in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Me.” Me is Goodness, the Infinite Supply, the Universal Good.
We get to choose where we place our focus. We are absolutely sovereign in this, for no one can interfere with our personal FREE WILL to choose where to place our powerful focus. Where we are placing our focus is where we will manifest.
Think carefully. Choose wisely. Like it or not, you are the Creator of your own experience, AND you are a collective co-Creator with the rest of us. Buy in to the lack and fear – or – NOT. Clearly your choice. I can hear you saying, “But they know. You can’t ignore the FACTS!”
My answer to you is this: Why not? What useful purpose does it serve for me to get depressed or turn my thoughts to the dark? I can’t get sad enough to help you over your sadness. I can’t get poor enough to help you become wealthy. I can’t get depressed enough to help you out of your doom.
Wake UP People! “THEY” don’t know any more than you do. In fact, they may know less; all they have is the press, the media. But we have FREE WILL. We can turn the tide of anything when we finally realize how powerful we are in our sovereignty to individually choose what and where we choose to place our focus…our spirit…our Godchip.
It’s up to You. How much more pain do you want before you choose to create the joy? Take you hand off the bloody stove for Goodness sake.

American Ingenuity

Good Day Everyone!
Thinking about things lately has caused me to be grateful for 4 years of Latin. I went to public schools in Ohio and Pennsylvania where Latin was offered. I had two great teachers who really made translating Vigil, Pliny, and Caesar’s Commentaries fun and very enlightening.
Today I use Latin principally for getting the original meaning of a word – its etymology. If you aren’t familiar with ancient Latin or Greek, it is improbable that you know how far afield our modern day words and our common meaning that we associate with them have strayed from the origin of the word.
Take the word ingenuity for example. According to Dictionary.com ingenuity is:
| 1. | the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful; inventiveness: a designer of great ingenuity. |
| 2. | cleverness or skillfulness of conception or design: a device of great ingenuity. |
| 3. | an ingenious contrivance or device. |
Miriam-Webster.com is quite similar:
2 a: skill or cleverness in devising or combining; b: cleverness or aptness of design or contrivance3: an ingenious device or contrivance
Now, check out the entomology of the word: ingenium from the Latin. The root words for ingenium are ‘in’ meaning within and genus which is birth. So the original word means
‘innate’ or ‘inborn‘ genius.
So what is innate or inborn? Our creativity. Our capacity for ingeniusness, which comes from our own innate Godchip: Our direct link to the Infinite Possibilities.
Years ago a friend said, “You have to ask the right question.” Truly.
When you look again at the word ingenuity, our current definitions imply with the word an invention – a thing, a contraption that we made or invented; but the origin of the word implies that it is not a thing but rather an inborn talent to create.
So let me, right here and right now, say that American Ingenuity is our innate ability to be creative. Our inborn capacity to seek out a new solution that has never been seen on planet earth by first desiring something (usually our freedom) from some perceived constraint and then our natural, inborn ability to allow that solution to come to us as first and idea, and then a thing if that is required.
American Ingenuity is a term I grew up with. We always had a way to make things better.
We knew we could; we did. There was nothing facing us that we couldn’t create our way out of and towards a better way.
Thinking about our famous American Ingenuity, I began to wonder why we had gotten ourselves into such a fix with respect to oil. I can’t think of anything that Americans hate more than feeling we have no options. There is always a way. Always.
So I started rummaging around online and saw a few signs of our great inventive and creative natures. For starters find out how to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen for fuel to run a car.
Of course creativity is not limited to just Americans. They are rolling an air car off the assembly line in India. Where are you GM, Ford and Chrysler?
The point to this little excursion into ingenuity with respect to cars and oil is that our ability to create solutions is infinite and above all inborn with each of us.
It’s the Godchip in each an every one of us that has the answer. You with your free will must apply your focus to ask ‘how can I?’ rather than spending your energies fighting against what is. Turning your focus towards what is wanted is the first step and then staying that focus with free will discipline on the creativity; allowing IT in as IT guides you towards your answer.
The fun is watching it unfold, like in a treasure hunt. Each day something comes in because you have asked and now Law of Attraction can bring it to you as you allow and are looking for the stepping stones.
American Ingenuity has been sleeping. We have been lost in fear of this and fear of that. Every time you allow ‘what is’ to occupy your thoughts, what ”might be’ is delayed and postponed.
And, someone else, who is actively pursuing the “how can I” mode is allowing in the solutions.
Come on America! Turn off that blinkin‘ TV and get busy creating the Nation we envision.
Now what if…

Good News: Anything Is Possible

“If you are a believer in miracles, this would be one.”
DR. PHILIP S. BARIE, on the recuperation of Alcides Moreno, a window washer who plunged 47 stories last month.
Hello Everyone,
I wake up this morning to find miracles in the news! Let me say here that miracles are the order of the day in Applied Spirituality when you see with new eyes; but to actually see them in the news is wonderful.
The first article is about a young man, Alcides Moreno, who fell 47 stories in December, who by all human standards, ought to be dead. Far from it, he’ll be walking again soon. Why? Intention. Belief. Trust. In what? WELL BEING. GOOD. I love it when doctors call something a miracle, because they cannot explain the preponderance of Well Being.
The preponderance of Well being is further illustrated when looking at the event of 9/11. On any given day there were reportedly 45-55,000 people in the twin towers. On that day how, is it that less than 3000 people were killed? How many over slept their alarms? Had a flat tire? Missed the subway? Made love to their spouse and decided to go in late? Well Being Abounds.
The second story is about Barack Obama winning the Iowa Caucus!
Applied Spirituality is not, I repeat NOT, a political forum. So this is not about my endorsing any single candidate.
But what this candidate has been able to achieve is the impossible. At least the cynics said it couldn’t be done. Iowa is a white state. Ha! It’s not about labels any more, it’s about how someone “feels” to the people. This win illustrates an even wider miracle: that the people are awakening to Who They Really Are. The people will determine this election this year, not pollsters, not pundits, not spin.
The individual is coming awake to feel the veracity of what is being said and what is actually so. This feeling of the truth is the Godchip in each person. And what is exciting to me is that the individual is beginning to LISTEN within. Mr. Obama listens to the people, as well. His success is in large part due to his reaching out to the common, ordinary person and donations to his campaign reflect lots of $25.00 contributions.
Frank Capra made a few but very memorable and classic movies because they were all based on the one singular theme: the human spirit, which is divine (your Godchip) and it’s invincibility. Watch them all if you can and you will see what’s happening in America today. Meet John Doe; It’s a Wonderful Life; Mr. Smith Goes to Washington; Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.
It’s an exciting time to be alive! Watch. Hope. Trust.
Well Being Abounds and All IS Well.

Human-mind vs Godmind
Posted by: | Comments2007-04-22
Good day Everyone!
In the course of a day, how many times do you realize a vast difference between what your human mind perceives and what your Godmind is?
We humans have been taught everything in human-mind. We have been socialized, educated, homogenized and hypnotized in human-mind – a collection of myths and beliefs based in fear, lack and limitation. That’s why people in different regions of the planet think about things so differently. We are schooled to think like our fellows, which, of course, gives rise to the many prejudices and biases that abound.
If in the course of life, however, one could pause and perhaps wonder at all what Godmind thinks about this or that particular issue, then there would ensue a giant blank, a pause, a stillness.
The idea of being here on planet Earth is to grow one’s soul or consciousness by elevating it (spiritualizing it) to that of Godmind. When we can do this, we are able to see the highest perspective possible )Godmind) which is all inclusive. Godmind or Love, being the highest, fastest and purest frequencies, always includes, never excludes. It is, after all, all God. Human mind on the other hand, believes that there is something lacking, wrong, broken, sick, and wanting.
Humans think of things in black and white, either/or.
Godmind is AND, all inclusive with no fear and no oxymorons.
In Godmind, there is All and the fullness thereof.
Within each and every person on the planet is that same, equal measure of God. It is that which animates and enlivens us. It is that which is the full potential of each of us. It delights in our diversity of thought. It enjoys that some like to ride horses, have sheep races, paint, write poems, blast a trombone, dig in the garden, or gather antiquities. It LOVES to love. It loves to create, anything, everything.
It is for us to spiritualize our human mind, which is to say make it less and less afraid. The act of intending this, sitting in the quiet and allowing It to unfold within us: this is applied spirituality.
What might this world look like if everyone knew his own sovereignty about what comes in and goes forth from his “unit”. What might it all look like if we understood this law. Fear Not we are told. Then why do we doubt this? Why do we choose to believe somethings and toss others? Applied Spirituality is knowing your Oneness and in that there is no fear, no doubt, no other.
Sit, be still and receive. We are so busy “sending” or praying we never shut up long enough to hear that still small voice uttering its assurances. We are One with It, with each other. We have absolute voice in what we experience. Wouldn’t you like to understand how your “unit” operates and become a black belt at your own unit?
Life is supposed to be skippity do dah living in connection with It, realizing our Oneness. This is everyone’s only work. Life lived from Oneness is a vista you cannot image with your human mind.
Practice. Persist. Apply. Show up for your quiet Oneness daily and just listen and receive.
