Applied Spirituality Rocks: Learning WordPress

Greetings Everyone!

I’m actually building my new website myself in WordPress!

Yep, exactly the thing I never, ever wanted to do; vowed I wouldn’t do – and voila! The “Never Angels” love to hear that word! When they do, it is precisely what you are going to have to do.

Actually, I’m really glad! By the precise Laws of Attraction, I met up with Christina Hills diva of WordPress Websites and am taking her Website Creation Workshop for the next 8 weeks. This guru extraordinare is a class act and has her stuff together.

When I take a course from someone, I’m always on the lookout for how they do things, like their webcasts, how they connect their autoresponder, videos, etc. Christina’s site and course are model examples of how to do things right, if you’re paying attention.

And the value added is stunning. For each of the 8 weeks modules, there are small videos that actually demonstrate how to do things. If that’s not enough, she offers two coaching sessions per week for two hours each where she will help you with your site, personally.

So you see, the Laws of Attraction are working ceaselessly to meet your asking. I know you’re probably wondering how I figure this since I vowed NEVER to do my own website. Let me show you:

• I “pushed: against the idea of doing my own website. In so doing, that’s what I get because where you put your energies gets bigger.
• I didn’t want to learn HTML or how the clock gets made, I wanted to be able to make changes to my website with an easy to use CMS (for those of you who don’t know what that means, it’s Content Management System) Ha!
• My business is expanding to a point where the beginners sites weren’t going to be able to do for me and my folks what I wanted.
• I have a desire to have the “infrastructure” to my business fully in place, so that students can easily find their way around and be supported in their Remembering Who They Really Are
• I really desire to feel that the foundation of what I’m offering is solid and ready for the sudden expansion when that comes.
• I want a lovely looking site, as well as useful and functional.
• I want every page to contain relevant information with all the right search engine keywords and tags for organic traffic.
• And I want it easy to turn over to someone else to make changes and adjustments when that time comes. The bonus is I’ll know how to do it, which is totally me. I have to understand what it is I’m asking someone else to do, and now I’ll know.
• I want to have fun doing this, enjoy the creative process to demystify it for myself
  

That’s just to name a few. So there you have it. I got exactly what I “asked” for…the LOA at my command, and yours 24/7.
